Easy ferry drive from Split, chic, entertaining and full of young people, gays have named it "Croatian Mykonos". The island become popular among backpackers and globetrotters, world jet setters and yacht crowd, and of course gay and lesbian tourists. The most popular gay point during a day is a nude beach located on the islet of Jerolim, some 15 minutes by a taxi boat from town Hvar's harbour. During night fun starts in many bars, with Carpe Diem bar and Veneranda discotheque being the most popular and known for wild parties.
